As we all know, both the Central Government and the State Government are taking steps for the better future of today’s young generation. With the digitization of the world’s economies and understanding that laptop is necessary nowadays for educational needs of the students, the Uttar Pradesh Government has launched the scheme of distributing free laptops to students.

CUCET 2023 Application Form

This scheme has been initiated by the UP Government to enhance the education sector. Under this scheme, a free laptop will be given to the beneficiary student by the State Government. The laptops will be given to only those students who fulfill the eligibility criteria set by the State Government under this scheme.

UP resident students have the opportunity to get a free laptop from the Government under this scheme. But before applying for this, the students must have detailed knowledge about the eligibility criteria and required documents to get the benefit of this scheme.

This scheme is launched by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh – Shri Yogi Aditya Nath Ji with a budget of 1800 crore, to provide free laptops to approx. 22 lakh students belonging to Uttar Pradesh. UP students can register themselves by visiting the official website – www.upcmo.up.nic.in.

Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for this scheme, the students must have detailed information about the eligibility criteria:

  • The student must have passed 10th & 12th class from UP Board only.
  • The student must have scored a minimum of 65% in 10th & 12th.
  • The student must be a domicile of Uttar Pradesh.
  • The candidates pursuing polytechnic & ITI are also eligible under this scheme.
