Maharashtra Covid Lockdown 2022 News
As the cases of corona variant, omicron increased day by day across Maharashtra, the Mumbai police extended section 144 till the 15th of January 2022. This is the variant of concern as it had a large number of mutations, early evidence suggested increased reinfection risk.
On Friday state minister Vijay Wadettiwar said that the chief minister Uddhav Thackeray will take a call on the stage of imposing a lockdown in Maharashtra, as 8067 new cases are recorded during the day in Maharashtra, and if the condition remains the same, the stage of lockdown is approaching but the decision on when to impose will be taken by the chief minister of Maharashtra.
New Notification On Lockdown In Maharashtra
A sharp rise in the case has been seen in Maharashtra so, the government has to issue the new guidelines for safety reasons. This viral disease is increasing as fast as it can and to stop its effect, everyone has to be vaccinated as well as with that everyone has to follow the new guidelines issued by the government.
The decision of closing colleges and schools would be taken after reviewing the situation for 15 days. The government has capped the attendance at events and other gatherings and the night curfew has already been imposed from 9 pm to 6 am in Maharashtra.

In case if there was a political or religious event, the maximum number of attendees will be restricted to 50 persons while only 20 people are allowed at last rites and police also asked people not to visit sea faces, open grounds, beaches, and other public places between 5 pm to 5 am. The prohibition has been placed on parties in an open or closed space including resorts, pubs, and others from 30 December 2021 to 7 January 2022. In Mumbai, the BMC allowed the cinema theaters, gyms, restraints to operate at fifty percent of capacity.
As the cases increasing people have to follow all the guidelines strictly and if anyone breaks the guideline, they may get the challan. Beaches will remain closed from 5 pm to 5 am. The isolation for the people who are traveling is a must from now in Maharashtra and if the number of the covid patient increases in the state and if it continues to increase at the phase it is then the government will be forced to impose more restrictions.
